Going home
After your baby arrives, you will have time to rest and bond. In our maternity units, the usual stay is four nights after a vaginal birth or five nights after a C-section. In some cases, this may be extended for health and wellbeing reasons or shortened upon request. Our experienced maternity team will offer full care, feeding advice, and parenting tips. We’re here to support you through this exciting time.
Before leaving, make sure your car has an infant car seat installed for your baby’s safe ride home; this is a legal requirement.
Early Parenting Centres
Parenting can be both rewarding and challenging. Our Early Parenting Centres, available at select locations across Australia, are here to help you navigate the physical, emotional, and social changes a new baby can bring.
Our centres offer support for common topics such as:
- infant sleep and settling problems
- creating age-appropriate routines
- feeding challenges and introducing solids
- managing reflux and colic
- building secure attachment
- addressing irritability
- maternal exhaustion and anxiety
- adjusting to life as new parents
Our experienced team is here to answer your questions and address your concerns.
We guide you through the early stages of parenthood and make you feel supported every step of the way to help you build confidence, improve sleep patterns, establish healthy routines, and strengthen bonds with your baby.
