Alex is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychotherapist with a particular focus on working with clients experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, personality issues, interpersonal conflict, eating disorders, addiction and mood disorder issues. Alex also works with people dealing with a range of chronic mental health issues to assist them to better manage symptoms. 

Alex works collaboratively with clients and will try to find the therapeutic approach that fits with their needs. He has experience working with a broad range of evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. Alex has also completed training in Cognitive processing Thearapy (CPT) which is an evidence-based program that provides skills for managing trauma and addictions.

Alex’s goal is to educate clients to assist them to understand how experiences over a lifetime influence their current way of life and offers a range of practical strategies aimed at arming clients with the skills to move forward. Privately and confidentially, he will work with patients through the complexity of their unique experince and develop strategies, skills and solutions to process challenges, find meaning and freedom to grow.

Alex has completed a Doctorate in Science (Psychotherapy), a Master of Science with an emphasis on Psychoanalysis in Germany and a Master of Clinical Social Work from Monash University.

Alex is also fluent in German and can speak vocational French.
