About
Clinical Practice
A/Prof Raj Mohan is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecologic Oncologist with expertise across the full spectrum of conditions relating to gynaecologic cancers and complex gynaecological problems. This ranges from prevention, screening and treatment of common gynaecological symptoms, to specialist and gynaecological cancer surgery. A/Prof Mohan’s interests include gynaecological oncology, complex gynaecological surgery, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy and management of pre-invasive diseases of the lower genital tract, familial gynaecological cancers and prophylactic risk reduction surgeries. He is actively involved in gynaecological cancer research as a current member of ANZGOG – the lead group for gynaecological cancer clinical trials in Australia and New Zealand.
Background & Training
A/Prof Mohan completed his general obstetrics and gynaecology training after obtaining the MRCOG in London in 2003. He worked as a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology – with an interest in gynaecology oncology – for six years before undertaking further training to specialise as a gynaecologic oncologist in Australia. He obtained his FRANZCOG and CGO in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
