Associate Professor Simon Tsao

A/Prof Simon Tsao is an Australian trained general surgeon with a clinical interest in breast and endocrine surgeries.  He commenced training at the Royal Melbourne and The Alfred Hospital's before completing subspecialist breast and endocrine training at St. Vincent's Hospital.

 

He completed his fellowship at St George's Hospital,UK, in Oncoplastic Breast and Endocrine surgery, with a focus on preserving the patient's breast while removing cancer and achieving optimal aesthetic results.

 

A/Prof manages benign breast conditions and performs reconstructive procedures, collaborating with plastic surgeons for optimal results. He also treats thyroid and parathyroid diseases, prioritising minimally invasive techniques. Accredited in gastroscopy and colonoscopy, he offers comprehensive care for general surgical issues such as hernias, gallbladder, appendix, toenails, carpal tunnel and haemorrhoids.

 

Beyond clinical practice, A/Prof Tsao is involved in cancer research, focusing on innovative nanotechnology for targeted drug delivery.
