About

Charlene is a warm, supportive, and an empathetic registered Psychologist who has over a decade of experience in counselling people in varying contexts and ages, which has enabled her to have a well-rounded skill set. She is passionate about creating that “safe space” and has a genuine ability to build caring effective therapeutic relationships that bring about meaningful change. She uses evidence-based science, whilst adopting a client centred approach.

Charlene works with children between the ages of 5 to 12 years, adolescents, parents and adult clients. She has a particular interest in anxiety disorders, anger issues and depression, as well as behavioural issues in children and adolescents, OCD, ADHD, parenting stress, and emotional and behavioural regulation. She draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, using a strengths-based approach.
