About
Dr Dayashan Shevantha Perera has performed over 2000 laparoscopic bowel resections, making him one of the most experienced laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeons in Australia.
He has been in practice over fifteen years, with operating rights at Kareena Private, St George Public and Private Hospitals and Miranda Surgical Centre.
Dr Perera continues to be actively involved in all facets of healthcare.
He was Director of Surgical Training for the Southern Network (2002-2008), and Treasurer of the Medical Staff Council at St George Hospital (2008-2012).
He is currently Supervisor of Colorectal Fellow Training at St George Hospital. His main interests include advanced laparoscopic colorectal and hernia surgery, and he is an accredited robotic surgeon.
