Dr Marcia Mickelburgh

Dr Marcia Mickelburgh is an Australian trained specialist plastic surgeon. She completed her graduate medical degree at the University of Queensland before undertaking her residency at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She commenced advanced surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2008. Marcia has trained in all the major Queensland metropolitan hospitals and was awarded her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in January 2015.

Following her training, Dr Mickelburgh was appointed as a specialist plastic surgeon at both The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she was involved in breast reconstruction, hand trauma and head and neck reconstruction. In both her roles Marcia was involved in the training and teaching of trainees, residents and medical students.

Dr Mickelburgh operates at both Cairns Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre. Her interests include breast reconstruction, cosmetic breast surgery, skin cancer and hand surgery.
