About
Dr Prathap Hegde is an Albury-based cardiologist.
Dr Hegde received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from JJMMC, India. He completed general medical training at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Dumfries Royal Infirmary, United Kingdom, followed by basic physician training at the St George Hospital Network, New South Wales.
He undertook cardiology advanced training at the Wollongong, St George and Prince of Wales Hospitals in New South Wales, and then completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Townsville Hospital, Queensland.
Prathap's personal statement:
"The prevalence of cardiac diseases is increasing due to the current life style in the communities. I have made a commitment to serve for the better health of people living in regional and rural Australia. I have enjoyed the challenges that I have faced and derived satisfaction from the significant positive outcomes. My ultimate career aim is to provide the best cardiac care to my patients while building professional relationships with my colleagues".
