Dr Abigail 'Abby' Attwell-Heap is a distinguished urologist with extensive training and experience in various sub-specialties of urology. With a strong educational background and numerous professional accomplishments, Dr. Attwell-Heap is committed to providing high-quality care to her patients.
Dr Abby’s journey began in Canberra and expanded to New South Wales, New Zealand and Victoria, where she gained extensive training and clinical experience in the field of urology. She completed her training with a fellowship as the Urology Fellow at Queen Elizabeth and Jubilee Hospital in Brisbane, with a focus on robotic surgery, upper tract oncology, and reconstructive surgery.
Dr Abby gained her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2023.
Dr Abby combines her clinical experience with a passion for research and teaching, making her a respected figure in the field of urology. Her dedication to patient care and continuous professional development ensures she stays at the forefront of advancements in urological treatments and surgeries. Above all, she is compassionate and kind in her approach to patient care.
Dr. Abby is currently a senior staff specialist at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. She is an integral member of the staff and proudly calls the Sunshine Coast her home.
