Dr Adrian Fernandez

Dr Fernandez is a Senior Consultant General Surgeon. He has an interest in colon and rectal surgery and completed fellowships at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle and Nepean Hospital, Sydney. He has close ties to the Westmead Health Precinct having previously been the Clinical Superintendent for General Surgery at Westmead Hospital. 

He has VMO public hospital appointments with Southern NSW Health and is on the Consultant roster for General Surgery at South East Regional Hospital. 
He is passionate about educating the next generation of surgeons and supervises SET trainees, JMOs and medical students. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer, Australian National University and RACS Fellowship Examiner for General Surgery, Court of Examiners.

Interests include:
Dr Fernandez is GESA accredited for Gl endoscopy and provides a range of surgical services that include
•    Laparoscopic repair of abdominal wall herniae
•    Management of gallbladder disease and treatment of benign anorectal conditions 
•    All malignant disease is managed within a Multi-Disciplinary Team setting
