About
Dr Alex Holmes is a Newcastle-born clinical and laboratory-trained haematologist and Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA). He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2014 and is a staff specialist at Calvary Mater Newcastle and NSW Health Pathology. He holds admitting rights at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, where he oversees outpatient and inpatient care, including transfusions, chemotherapy and immunoglobulin therapy. Alex also holds academic appointments at the University of Newcastle and is actively involved in medical education and clinical research.
