Dr Alex Powell is a Specialist Physician in General Medicine and Medical Oncology with over 20 years’ experience in most areas of oncology. He has a particular interest in bowel, urogenital, lung, melanoma, and breast cancer. Dr Powell is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care for his patient and he frequently participates in multidisciplinary meetings focused on lung cancer, urogenital cancers, and bowel cancer. He also has access to ongoing clinical trials which allow him to offer cutting-edge treatments to eligible patients.

 

Convenient Clinic Locations

Dr Powell's clinical practice offers two convenient locations for patients in the metro area and those visiting from rural locations. At Hollywood Private Hospital, where he has admitting rights, his rooms are conveniently located in the Hollywood Medical Centre which is accessible from Entrance 5. (The multistorey car park is located nearby). At Joondalup Health Campus on Shenton Avenue, Joondalup, Dr Powell consults with patients at the Oncology Day Clinic. He is also able to offer his services to public patients residing in the Joondalup catchment area. 

 

Urgent cases & advice prior to referrals

For the convenience of new patients Dr Powell's strives to accommodate appointments within a week with urgent patient cases prioritised. GPs can contact his rooms to discuss cases to seek advice prior to referrals. Contact details are below.
