Dr Alexandra Matthews

Dr Alexandra Matthews is an Endocrinologist working within the Hypertension Unit at Greenslopes Private Hospital and is also practicing as a Consultant Endocrinologist in the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.  After completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland, Alexandra undertook her specialist Endocrinology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Cairns Hospital.

 

Alexandra has a clinical interest in hypertension, including the assessment of hypertension severity, optimising individual medical therapy for resistant hypertension and investigation for and management of secondary causes of hypertension.  Alexandra also has a clinical interest in primary aldosteronism and has presented research in the field at national and international conferences.
