About
Dr Ali Eqbal is a consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, with clincal interests in advanced colonic polyp diagnosis and resection as well as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Dr Eqbal has completed two-year fellowship in advanced endoscopy at the world-renowned Kings College Hospital in London, the United Kingdom. This fellowship involved meticulous training in the diagnosis of colorectal polyps as well as advanced endoscopic resection techniques including endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Prior to this Dr Eqbal also completed a clinical research fellowship in 2022 in complex IBD at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne.
He has a substantive public hospital appointment at Peninsula University Hospital.
