Dr Ali Uthuman

Dr Ali Uthuman is a Consultant General Physician with subspecialty interest in Geriatric Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and also holds Fellowships of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London and Edinburgh and the American College of Physicians.

Ali is a Staff Specialist at Goulburn Valley Health credentialled as Geriatric Senior Medical Officer.  He trained in geriatric medicine at Goulburn Valley Health under Dr Arup Bhattacharya and Dr Femi Afolayan, and is currently undertaking a Master's degree in Perioperative Medicine at Monash University.
He is affiliated with the University of Melbourne Department of Rural Health, where he actively teaches and conducts research.

Ali's clinical focus is Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, encompassing cognitive health, dementia syndromes, frailty, falls and polypharmacy, with a special interest in cardiogeriatrics - the care of older patients with cardiovascular disease. He undertakes cognitive and capacity assessments, and manages older patients with multiple, complex medical conditions.

Ali consults privately at Healworks Specialist Clinic in Kialla (Moving to Wyndham St late September) and is also credentialled with Shepparton Private Hospital.
