Dr Smit sees patients at both Joondalup Private Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus and consults from her rooms in Joondalup

Background & Training:

Dr Alide Smit qualified as a paediatrician in South Africa in 1997. Dr Smit worked in the private sector in neonatology, general paediatrics and developmental paediatrics before immigrating to Australia, where she completed three years of additional training at both Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital. She is also involved in medical education, particularly the ongoing training of junior staff and regularly attends professional meetings on child development, infant mortality and other concerns.
