Dr Alistair Cook

Dr Alistair Cook is a Respiratory Physician who is available for consult at the Wesley Hospital and North West Private Hospital.

Dr Cook obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland, and completed his Respiratory training in Queensland. He has since completed additional post-fellowship training in Severe Asthma at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, and Interventional Bronchoscopy at the RBWH.

Dr Cook is available for consult for the management of all general respiratory conditions. Dr Cook's main area of expertise is the diagnosis and management of asthma. He has a keen research interest in asthma and he regularly provides education on the topic. Dr Cook has a public position at RBWH, where he oversees the severe asthma clinic. He is currently completing his PhD investigating asthma attacks in patients receiving advanced asthma treatments.

Dr Cook's broad expertise also includes lung cancer and diagnostic bronchoscopy, airways diseases such as COPD and bronchiectasis, and diagnosis and management of acute respiratory conditions.
