Dr Allison Choong

Mitcham Private hospital would like to introduce Dr Allison Choong. Allison graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2005 and undertook specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Northern Health.

 

Thereafter, Allison undertook advanced training with a 2-year Ultrasound Fellowship at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and subsequently acquired a sub-specialist qualification in diagnostic ultrasound from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). Allison has also completed an Advanced Laparoscopy Fellowship (2022/2023) in Taiwan with the Asia Pacific Association for Gynaecological Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE).

 

She provides care in all areas of general gynaecology such as contraceptive advice including insertion of Implanon and IUD’s, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids, cervical screening/colposcopy, vulval disorders and advanced laparoscopic surgery as required. In addition, she has public appointments at Eastern Health and Northern Health.
