Clinical Practice
Dr Amy Hicks is a Specialist Gynaecologist who provides holistic, evidence-based, and personalised care to women at every stage of life. She offers both medical and surgical treatment options and is known for her calm, compassionate approach and her commitment to truly listening to her patients’ concerns. Dr Hicks holds a public appointment at Fiona Stanley Hospital, caring for complex Obstetric and Gynaecological patients and is accredited at Hollywood Private Hospital where she sees private patients. Amy is also located at Monash IVF West and Woom for consults. These roles reflect her commitment to comprehensive women’s health care, fertility management, and advanced gynaecological practice. Dr Hicks cares for women across their entire lifespan—from adolescent gynaecology through reproductive years and into menopause. Her earlier career in Exercise and Sport Science, working with both developing and elite athletes, has also shaped her understanding of the interaction between lifestyle, wellbeing, psychological health, and physical health.
Background and Training
Dr Hicks initially obtained her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), at the University of Notre Dame in 2015. Dr Hicks also holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) obtained in 2026. During her specialist training, she gained extensive experience in Sydney, working with some of Australia’s leading minimally invasive gynaecological surgeons. She also completed a fertility Fellowship under Dr Tamara Hunter, Founder of Woom and Medical Director of Monash IVF West. Amy has undertaken further fellowship training in reproductive medicine and infertility, with the intention of applying for subspecialty training in Clinical Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
