About
Dr Slack graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from Griffith University in 2010. He subsequently completed his advanced physician training, working across Gold Coast University Hospital, Townsville Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and The Mater Hospital, Brisbane.
Dr Slack also completed a Bachelor in Microbiology in 2003, working for Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology and Queensland Forensic and Scientific Services prior to commencing his medical degree at Griffith University. He has published extensively on the epidemiology of Leptospirosis in Australia. Dr Slack also completed a Master of Tropical Medicine and Public Health from James Cook University in 2016.
In addition, Dr Slack’s interests include infective endocarditis, prosthetic joint infections, chronic Q-fever, fever of unknown origin and fever in the returned traveller.
Dr Slack currently consults at John Flynn Private and Pindara Hospitals.
