Following initial Hospital appointments joined a group General Practice in Launceston where he worked for 15 years with interests in Sports Medicine - Regional President of Sports Medicine Australia - and Practice Management, along with a full time general practice.
Dr Wignall proceeded to further training in General Surgery, and then Otolaryngology (ENT), Head & Neck Surgery, with Fellowship with the Australian College of Surgeons – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery ( FRACS )
