About
Clinical Practice:
Dr Angel Li is a Gastroenterologist who is passionate about gut health and providing holistic care to her patients. Dr Li has subspecialty interests in general and luminal gastroenterology, including inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer screening, functional gastrointestinal disorders, coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, clostridium difficile colitis and nutrition. Dr Li is committed to providing high quality gastroscopy and colonoscopy. She is experienced with dye-spray chromoendoscopy and providing care to pregnant patients with gastrointestinal diseases and has an interest in the gut microbiota and performs faecal microbiota transplantation for the treatment of clostridium difficile colitis.
Dr Li consults privately at Hollywood Private Hospital and Joondalup Private Hospital has public appointments at Joondalup Health Campus, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital.
Background & training
Dr Li’s clinical journey began in Perth, where she completed her physician training. To further enhance her expertise, she pursued two clinical Fellowships in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Her postgraduate GI training was completed at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital.
Subsequently, she pursued a fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital further expanding her knowledge and skills in the field of gastroenterology. During this time, she gained invaluable experience in managing complex inflammatory bowel disease cases, caring for pregnant patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and supporting adolescent patients transitioning from paediatric care. Driven by her fascination with gut microbiota, Angel actively participates in research on faecal microbiota transplantation for the treatment of clostridium difficile colitis.
