About
Dr Anna Kermond is a rheumatologist with a passion for regional healthcare. Originally from Cooran in rural Queensland, she completed a year of Pharmaceutical science at Griffith University before earning her MBBS at Bond University. Dr Kermond undertook her advance rheumatology training at the Royal Brisbane Women’s, Cairns and Redcliffe Hospitals with a special focus on obstetric rheumatology, scleroderma and connective tissue disorders.
Dr Kermond is dedicated to fostering a collaborative approach to patient care with a focus on empowering patients and their General Practitioners through shared decision-making and mutual education. She has featured on a lecture series for the Metro North GP network and spotify podcasts series ‘The Round Up’ with the goal to make rheumatological care and education accessible for all clinicians.
She offers telehealth consultations across Queensland, providing accessible care to patients in regional and remote areas. With a commitment to improving patient outcomes, Dr Kermond combines expertise and compassion in her comprehensive approach to rheumatological care.
