About
Dr Anthony Pisaniello is a Cardiologist with an interest in Interventional Cardiology from Adelaide, who has recently moved to the Mornington Peninsula to serve the community.
He is trained in coronary stenting and transcatheter aortic valve implantation and has extensive experience in cardiac imaging.
He is interested in atherosclerosis, which was the basis of his PhD, particularly the importance of omega 3 fatty acids on this process. He is also interested in aortic stenosis, which led him to pursue a TAVI fellowship at Manchester Royal infirmary UK, and subsequently a coronary fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital USA.
He is happy to see the full spectrum of cardiac patients and utilises cardiac imaging to a great extent, to guide cardiac management. He utilises guideline based management and incorporates new developments in cardiology into his clinical practice.
He has moved to Mornington Peninsula with his wife and two children and is available and keen to receive referrals and answer questions from GPs including urgent consultations.
