Dr Antony Winkel

Dr Antony Winkel is a Neurologist with dual-Fellowship training in Epilepsy and Neuromuscular / Neurophysiology. He sees public patients at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, and consults privately at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

Dr Winkel worked on the Sunshine Coast as a junior doctor following his university studies, before moving to Melbourne to undertake specialised Neurology training, mostly at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He retains a Honorary Neurologist appointment at that hospital and is active in teaching students both from the University of Melbourne and Griffith University.

As a result of his Fellowship training, Dr Winkel offers a unique expertise in the diagnosis and management of nerve and muscle disorders, as well as seizures and epilepsy, although he enjoys managing patients with all types of Neurological problems.
