About
Dr Lazzari is a specialist obstetrician & gynaecologist who completed her medical degree at Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’s Hospital in London, in 2006.
Dr Lazzari has worked at The Cairns Hospital, Townsville Hospital, The Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane and The Royal Darwin Hospital. She considers herself a provincial fellow, with a strong focus in providing high quality evidenced based medical care to women living in remote to large city hospitals. Dr Lazzari has an interest in:
- minimally invasive surgery
- pelvic pain disorders
- aspects of medical care relating to the menopause
- simulation based training in the context of Obstetric crisis and emergency situations
Dr Lazzari received a Bachelor of Science degree from Kings College London in Immunology with Parasitology (2003) and has an interest in immunology and tropical medicine. Moving to Australia in 2008, after completing two years of rotation through general medicine and critical care medicine, Anusha entered specialist training with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2011.
Outside of work, Anusha is a keen gardener and orchid grower, with an interest in environmental conservation work and sustainable living. When she can, she enjoys dress making and costume design.
