Clinical Practice
Dr Arvind Vasudevan is a Consultant Urological Surgeon providing comprehensive urological care to public and private patients in Western Australia. He manages all aspects of general urology, with experience in minimally invasive, laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. His clinical practice includes the diagnosis and management of urological cancers, benign prostate conditions, kidney stone disease, and a broad range of general urological disorders. He performs contemporary surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia, where clinically appropriate. Dr Vasudevan consults for both insured and uninsured patients through his private rooms in Winthrop and operates in the public and private hospital settings and is located at Armadale Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital. Dr Vasudevan is fluent in Tamil and is able to consult comfortably with patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Background & Training
Dr Vasudevan is a locally trained urologist who graduated from the University of Western Australia Medical School in 1998. He completed his urology training in Western Australia and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology) in 2008. He has been in private practice since 2009 and is fully registered with AHPRA. He has been involved in registrar training and education, having served as a Supervisor of Urological Trainees at Royal Perth Hospital during two terms (2015–2017 and 2018–2020). Dr Vasudevan is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.
