Dr Asher Livingston

Educational background and advanced training:

Dr Asher Livingston is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Shoulders, Knees and Trauma Surgery. He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science furthering his education with the completion of a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery. As well as attaining his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr Livingston also completed an additional 2.5 years of sub-specialist Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery and Sports Knee & Upper Limb Surgery.

 

Interests:

Dr Livingston has an acute interest in addressing soft tissue sporting injuries having treated various national and international level athletes. He also manages degenerative and arthritic conditions and utilises cutting edge technology including robotic assisted Total Knee Replacement and 3D patient specific planning for Total Shoulder Replacement. Asher provides individual, personalised care using a variety of non-surgical and surgical strategies and where possible, he prefers the use of arthroscopic or minimal incision surgery.

 

Advances in Orthopaedics:

Dr Livingston is also keenly involved with the education of future Orthopaedic Surgeons acting as a Director of Training for the Australian Orthopaedic Association. In general, Asher has a passion for a healthy, active lifestyle and encourages his patients to keenly participate and invest in their health and well-being.
