About
Dr Asrar Khan is a consultant Nephrologist trained in all aspects of nephrology including haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation. He has interests in renal bone disease, glomerulonephritis and interventional nephrology, along with diabetic kidney disease, preventive nephrology and acute kidney injury.
Dr Khan moved to Australia in 2015 and has worked as a Fellow in Renal and Transplant Medicine at Westmead Public Hospital and as a Staff Consultant Nephrologist at Mildura Base Hospital and Mildura Private Hospital and most recently a Consultant Nephrologist at Wollongong Private Hospital.
He is passionate about teaching and is a senior lecturer at Monash University Melbourne and University of Wollongong. Dr Khan's research work into renal bone disease, kidney transplant, acute kidney injury with crush syndrome and PD have been published in a number of international medical journals.
