Dr Austin May is a Cardiologist who was born in Coffs Harbour and completed his medical training at the University of NSW, graduating with Honours in 2010. Dr May underwent specialty training in Cardiology at Gosford and St Vincent's Hospitals, conferring Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017.
Dr May undertook a further two years of subspecialty training in interventional cardiology and cardiac devices at John Hunter Hospital. Dr May is also internationally recognised in cardiac devices with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners and is also nationally certified in CT coronary angiography.
Dr May provides services including coronary angiography, CT coronary angiography, coronary stent procedures, pacemaker and defibrillator procedures, echocardiography and stress testing, as well as general cardiology services. Dr May performs advanced procedures including rotational atherectomy, conduction system pacing and cardiac resynchronisation procedures. Dr May is the Director of the Catheter Laboratory at Baringa Private Hospital and his rooms are located in the Specialist Medical Centre, Coffs Harbour.
