Dr Benjamin Ghaly

Dr. Benjamin Ghaly is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who operates in various locations within NSW. He is based in Newcastle where he holds the positions of Head of Department and Supervisor of Training at the John Hunter Hospital. Dr. Ben is originally from Newcastle, having graduated from Merewether High in 1996. After obtaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) degree, he went on to complete a Bachelor of Medicine (Hons) in 2004, both at the University of Sydney. He returned to complete a Bachelor of Dentistry and spent five further years completing his surgical training, achieving specialist fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Dr. Ben frequently attends conferences and continuing education courses both nationally and internationally. He has an interest in facial trauma, and the use of 3-D printed bio-models for the surgical planning of both immediate and delayed facial reconstruction resulting from trauma. At present, Dr. Ben consults and operates publicly at the John Hunter Hospital and Belmont hospital. He also consults and operates privately at Warners Bay Private Hospital.
