About
Brian graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012, completing rotations across general surgery, neurosurgery, urology and intensive care before commencing specialist plastic surgery training — one of the most competitive training pathways in Australian medicine.
Following his fellowship, Dr Yue developed a particular focus on three areas that demand both technical precision and careful patient communication: hand surgery, skin cancer reconstruction, and facial and body cosmetic surgery.
He has published multiple award-winning peer-reviewed papers in breast and head & neck surgery, and regularly presents at national and international surgical conferences, reflecting an ongoing commitment to advancing the evidence base of his specialty.
Dr Yue is actively involved in surgical education, currently serving as junior registrar supervisor in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Western Health. Teaching the next generation of surgeons is something he takes seriously, and it reflects his broader commitment to the field beyond his own practice.
His approach to patients is straightforward: down to earth, honest about what surgery can and can't achieve, and genuinely focused on achieving natural results that suit each individual.
