About
Dr Cameron Cooke is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee conditions, trauma, and sporting injuries. After completing his medical degree and orthopaedic training in Queensland, he undertook advanced subspecialty training in joint replacement and orthopaedic trauma in Sydney, Vancouver (Canada), and Sheffield (UK).
Since establishing his private practice in 2005, Dr Cooke has focused on the comprehensive management of hip and knee conditions, with expertise in direct anterior approach hip replacement, robotic knee replacement surgery, and complex lower-limb trauma. He continues to operate in the public system at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, maintaining an active role in the management of acute and complex trauma cases.
Dr Cooke combines fellowship training, high surgical case volumes, technical skill, collaboration, and innovation to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. His surgical expertise is matched by careful clinical judgement, ensuring surgery is recommended only when it is likely to deliver the best possible outcome. This care is supported by access to a dedicated on-call practice nurse, assisting GPs and specialists with clinical queries, postoperative concerns, and referral coordination.
