Dr Cathryn Edrich

Dr Edrich completed her training in London and specialist Ophthalmology training in London, Leeds, Manchester & Edinburgh, UK.  She then completed  her subspecialty training in medical retina & age-related macula degeneration and took up a consultant post in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK in 2005.

 In 2007 Dr Edrich emigrated to Australia with her family and held a Staff Specialist position at Gold Coast Hospital where she was instrumental in implementing a fast-track cataract service for patients and where she also introduced new treatments for macula degeneration.   Dr Edrich has also recently been working in  private practice at the Vision Centre, Southport.

 Dr Edrich is pleased to set up this service at John Flynn and her interests include refractive cataract surgery, diabetic eye disease & age-related macula degeneration as well as providing general comprehensive ophthalmology services.
