About
Dr Chaw is a Gastroenterologist with an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Motility/Functional Gut Disorders (including oesophageal manometry & pH studies) and Endoscopy &Colonoscopy.
She obtained her Medical Degree at the University of Queensland and subsequently completed Basic Physician Training at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney. She completed Gastroenterology and Hepatology speciality training at the Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee, Townsville and Gold Coast University Hospitals. She is now happy to call Cairns home and holds an appointment as a Staff Specialist at the Cairns Base Hospital.
Chaw is committed to providing quality health care to her patients with a holistic and caring approach. She values the importance of communication with her patients and colleagues to improve health outcomes and establish good continuity of care.
