Introduction/Interests
Chris graduated from the University of New South Wales with Honours in 1999. He completed his advanced training in cardiology and echocardiography fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Chris has been a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand since 2008. He has worked in Port Macquarie since 2004, employed as a Cardiologist at Port Macquarie Base Hospital since 2008. He looks after a broad spectrum of adult cardiac patients with specific interests in diagnostic cardiac imaging, valvular heart disease, heart failure and preventative cardiology. He practices diagnostic imaging including transoesophageal echocardiograms and diagnostic cardiac catheterisation procedures. Chris is the Director of Cardiology at Port Macquarie Base Hospital and has been instrumental in the expansion of Cardiology Services in the Hastings Macleay region.

Continuing Education/Teaching
Chris is an Approved RACP Supervisor for Cardiology Advanced Training. He also coordinates teaching and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate trainees and has been a FRACP examiner. He also speaks regularly to a broad range of audiences, including GP's, cardiac support groups, pharmacists, physicians and fellow cardiologists. Chris has been the Principal Investigator for several clinical trials both in the hospital and outpatient setting.
