Dr Deanne Soares

Dr. Deanne is a Urologist with training in minimally invasive robotic surgery for both cancerous and non-cancerous conditions. Driven by a patient-centric care model, she prioritises patient comfort and education, understanding the stress that often accompanies surgical consultations. Her decision-making process is primarily influenced by the needs and priorities of her patients.

Dr. Deanne began her educational journey by earning undergraduate degrees in Science and Education from The University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. She later pursued Medicine at the University of Notre Dame (Sydney and Melbourne) for her postgraduate qualification. As a young doctor, she continued her education by earning dual Masters’ degrees in Surgery and in Health Leadership and Management.
Her formal urology training was conducted in Victoria, where she honed her skills in endourology, general urology, laparoscopic and open urological surgery, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive techniques.

Beyond her foundational urological surgery training, she has undergone additional subspecialty training in Robotic Urological Surgery—Prostate, Kidney and Bladder Surgery at Stepping Hill Hospital, England.
Away from her professional commitments, Dr. Deanne enjoys travelling, culinary adventures, reading, and cherishing quality moments with her partner Duncan and their two dogs, Chico and Kulfi.

Furthermore, she carries out general urological procedures such as TURP, Urolift, laser lithotripsy, and general urological and peno-scrotal surgery.
