Surgical Training in Brisbane, Melbourne and Bristol. VMO in Royal Childrens Hospital in Burns and Paediatric Surgery before developing the first paediatric surgical service on Gold Coast and Tweed Heads 14 years ago (with inreach to Mater Childrens Hospital).  Associate Professor at Bond and Griffith Medical Schools. Chair of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Board of Paediatric Surgery for six years. Inaugural chair of Queensland Clinical Services Framework surgical Services for Children Committee.  President-elect of Australia New Zealand Association of Paediatric Surgeons.  Other interests include regional provision of paediatric surgery services, credentialling safety for childrens surgical services and paediatric surgery education and training in ANZ.
