About
Dr Dharsh Beath completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne and undertook Orthopaedic training across metropolitan and regional Victoria through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
She was subsequently selected for advanced fellowship training in Shoulder and Elbow surgery at Wrightington Hospital in the United Kingdom, an internationally recognised centre of excellence known for pioneering work in
upper limb surgery, high surgical volumes and a strong culture of innovation. Immersion in this environment strengthened her technical expertise and deepened her commitment to individualised, evidence-based care. She invests
time in understanding each patient’s goals, lifestyle and pressures, recognising that even those with similar injuries or backgrounds may define success very differently. As a competitive weightlifter, Dharsh brings discipline and a nuanced
understanding of musculoskeletal biomechanics to her practice. She appreciates the mindset of active individuals and elite athletes, the drive to return to performance and the need to balance ambition with safe recovery. These
insights shape her approach to shared decision making, communication and expectation setting to support optimal long-term outcomes. She manages trauma, shoulder and elbow conditions through her public
appointment at Austin Health and within her private practice. Dharsh is invested in delivering confident, reliable outcomes that restore her patients’ strength, capability and independence.
