Dr Dinesh Selvakumar

Dr Dinesh Selvakumar is a consultant and interventional cardiologist at Westmead Public and Private Hospitals. He has an interest in the minimally invasive treatment of complex coronary disease, personalised stent implantation, and the procedural treatment of chronically occluded coronary arteries.

Dinesh completed specialist cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, followed by a PhD in stem cell therapy for heart disease. His research earned him numerous accolades including the CSANZ Young Investigator Award. He then undertook a dedicated fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Royal North Shore Hospital before embarking on subspeciality training in complex coronary interventions through a prestigious fellowship at the University of Toronto.
