Dr Dougal Coates

Originally from Toowoomba, Dougal studied medicine in Brisbane, and then Dermatology training in both Brisbane in Oxford, which he completed in 2011.  He subsequently undertook another 12 months of subspecialty training in Mohs micrographic surgery, to specialise in both this area and other advanced skin cancer management.
Dougal is the Chair of Queensland Dermatology, and supervises high-risk skin cancer clinic at PA Hospital, as well as working privately at Dermatology Specialist Centre.  He has contributed as the primary author in chapters of 3 dermatology textbooks on skin cancer diagnosis and management. His primary interests are advanced skin cancer management, and Mohs micrographic surgery. Dougal does procedures at North West Private Hospital.
