Dr Duncan Self

Dr Duncan Self is an Australian-trained Urologist with experience in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive urological surgery. Following completion of an international fellowship in the United Kingdom.  

He has subspecialty expertise in the treatment of urological cancers including prostate, kidney, and complex upper urinary tract and retroperitoneal surgery.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science at the University of New South Wales, Dr Self undertook advanced urological training across major hospitals throughout New South Wales. He then completed a prestigious uro-oncology fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, Europe’s largest comprehensive cancer centre and one of the world’s leading specialist cancer institutions. There, he gained advanced experience in the latest management techniques for prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers, with a particular focus on robotic prostatectomy, robotic and open kidney surgery, and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) for testicular cancer.

Dr Self maintains a strong academic interest in uro-oncology and surgical safety, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at major international urological meetings. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care, combining the latest minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques with personalised treatment to achieve the best possible outcomes for every patient.
