Dr Edward Lee

Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Edward Lee, a Victorian and Western Australian trained Specialist in Sleep disorders and Respiratory Medicine. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022. He is passionate about providing the best quality care for his patients, and advocates for patient centered care and a shared approach to decision making.

 

Edward developed skills and expertise in pleural ultrasound, pleural procedures, and interventional bronchoscopy during his training in Perth, before he moved back to Melbourne to complete his training. Additionally, he has completed a Fellowship in chronic ventilation and Respiratory Medicine at the Austin Hospital during which he gained knowledge in diagnosis and management of complex sleep disorders, acute and chronic respiratory failure, and ventilation.

 

Edward has professional interests and skills in the diagnosis and management of the broad spectrum of sleep disorders. These include snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia and circadian (body clock) dysfunction.
His other professional interests include asthma/airways disease (such as COPD) and respiratory failure.

Edward has admission rights to Mitcham Private’s Sleep Centre, one of the largest private sleep centres in Australia, comprising of 6 bedrooms
equipped with the latest digital compumedics sleep laboratory.
