Dr Edward Smith

Dr Smith is a highly trained adult and paediatric Otolaryngologist with over a decade of experience as a consultant in private practice and in the Sydney public hospital system. He has offices at Miranda, in the Sutherland Shire, and at Annandale, in the inner west of Sydney. 

 

Dr Smith manages all aspects of adult and paediatric ETN surgery, but interests in: 

• Children’s ENT surgery
• Functional and cosmetic rhinoseptoplasty
• Nasal airway surgery
• Snoring, and
• Endoscopic sinus surgery.

 

Dr Smith graduated (MB, BS) from Sydney University with 1^st class honours in 1997. He completed residency, and basic surgical training at Royal North Shore Hospital and subsequently Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Sydney. He commenced advanced ENT training in NSW in 2001, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (otolaryngology, head and neck surgery) in 2005. He undertook post-fellowship training through Oxford Deanery-ENT at Wexham Park Hospital in the United Kingdom. Here he had subspecialist training in endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinoseptoplasty and middle ear surgery.

 

Dr Smith is very happy to speak to GPs directly at any stage for advice about patient cases, or to arrange urgent appointments.
