Dr Stephenson graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her training in Royal Brisbane Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Wellington and Auckland hospitals. Dr Stephenson completed her neurosurgical training in 2001.
Following this, she undertook further training at Frenchay Neurosurgical Hospital in Bristol Post Fellowship, England for over 2 years which allowed her to pursue her interests in all aspects of Neurosurgery including brain tumour management, base of skull surgery, spine surgery, pain and neurovascular surgery.
Dr Stephenson has been practicing on the Gold Coast since 2003, and provides both a private and public service to patients. Private operations are conducted at the Pindara Private Hospital. Dr Stephenson consults weekly at The Gold Coast Hospital and operates as required.
Dr Stephenson undertakes minimal access spine neurosurgery, neuro-oncological surgery, and endoscopic neurosurgery.
