About
Dr Erin Norman is a Specialist Paediatrician with a decade of clinical experience across all areas of General Paediatrics. She provides inpatient neonatal care and outpatient paediatric services for children of all ages at Northwest Private Hospital. Erin is passionate about holistic, family-centred care and prides herself on clear communication and thoughtful, collaborative management for the children and families she supports.
Erin has gained extensive experience throughout her paediatric training, working across a wide range of settings in greater Brisbane, Far North Queensland and Tasmania. She has interests in neonatal care and early infant growth and development and is dedicated to providing continuity of care for families during this rapidly changing stage of life. Erin also has broad experience in Adolescent and Community Medicine, supporting families navigating neurodevelopmental, behavioural and learning concerns.
Erin commenced her paediatric specialty training in 2016 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics and Child Health. Her advanced training included work within tertiary centres such as the Queensland Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She has also delivered paediatric care to children in rural and regional Far North Queensland through outreach services and Indigenous child health programs.
Erin will continue her public appointment at the Queensland Children’s Hospital as a Consultant while also providing private paediatric care on Brisbane’s northside.
Erin’s goal is to provide joyful, genuine and family-focused care. As a parent of two, she recognises the privilege of supporting families through all aspects of their child’s health and development.
