Dr Faris Al-Shammaa

Dr Faris is a fully qualified specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.  He gained his primary degree in Medicine and Surgery overseas and gained further experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working in different parts of the world.

Dr Faris moved to Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne in 2004 to complete his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training.  Dr Faris works in private and public Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is a consultant obstetrician at the Women’s Hospital, Parkville, and admits private patients to Frances Perry House private hospital at The Royal Women’s Hospital.

Dr Faris is also involved in teaching the undergraduate medical students at Melbourne University and the postgraduate specialist trainees for the Royal Australian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
