Dr Fay Chao (F)

Waverley Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Fay Chao, who graduated from Monash University with MBBS (Hons) in 1999 and completed her specialist obstetric and gynaecology training in Melbourne and granted FRANZCOG in 2009. She then embarked on the full 3-year accredited subspecialty training in urogynaecology and obtained the certificate of urogynaecology (CU) from RANZCOG in 2012.

During her subspecialty training at Monash Health and Mercy Hospital for Women, Fay gained invaluable experience in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. She is adept at pelvic reconstructive surgery, via vaginal, open, laparoscopic, and robotic, and with or without the use of mesh. She is also trained in performing and interpreting urodynamics and performing multiple types of sling procedures for the management of stress urinary incontinence.

Fay has ongoing commitments as training supervisor for RANZCOG trainees at Monash Health and is involved in preceptorship training of RANZCOG fellows/specialists and trainees in urogynaecological procedures. She is also involved in research undertaken by both Urogynaecology units at Monash Health and Mercy Hospital for Women.

Fay provides regular private consulting, operating and urodynamic studies at Waverley Private Hospital.
