About
Dr Chu is a General Surgeon with over 10 years experience in the St George and Sutherland Shire. He has an interest in Laparoscopic management of complicated gallbladder disease and abdominal wall hernias.
Dr Chu also has an interest in the comprehensive management of primary and metastatic cancer in the liver.
Dr Chu is a founding member of the St George Hospital Hepatoma Clinic, and has performed over 700 liver resections, with minimally invasive techniques as well as using surgical adjuncts to reduce blood loss and improve morbidity/mortality.
He is a working member of the NSW Cancer Insitute Hepatocellular Cancer Committee.
Dr Chu has admitting rights at St George and Sutherland Hospitals and St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals.
