About

Dr Ganesh Balendra is an Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements and sports knee surgery. Prior to relocating to Sydney, Dr Balendra was the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee  Hospital in Brisbane. Dr Balendra undertook international fellowships in complex arthroplasty as well as sports knee surgery and worked with professional athletes in the United Kingdom. He has a strong research interest and has published extensively on the outcomes of ACL and multi-ligament knee reconstructions in elite athletes. Dr Balendra believes in the importance of patient centred care and encourages close collaboration between health professionals. He is happy to speak with GPs and Physiotherapists to offer pre-referral advice, answer clinical queries, or assist with urgent consultations for your patients.
